Independent furniture retailer F A Henshaw has announced plans to close this month.
Situated at Stockwell Gate in Mansfield, the business, which was originally established in 1945 by entrepreneur Frederick Albert Henshaw will trade for the final time on 28 March 2025.
In a statement confirming the closure, the company said: “It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Henshaw Furniture Store after 80 incredible years of serving our community.
“This business has been more than just a store, it has been our family’s legacy. Passed down from my grandfather, who poured his heart into it, Henshaw’s has been a place of craftsmanship, quality, and service.
“We are so grateful to each and every one of you who have supported us over the years, whether that was with my father Michael, or myself. Whether you’ve been a loyal customer for decades or just discovered us recently, your support has meant the world.
“Our final day of trade will be 28th March, and until then, all stock is half price or less—a last thank you to our valued customers. Any outstanding orders will be fulfilled.
“Though this chapter is closing, the memories, relationships, and impact of Henshaw Furniture will live on. Thank you for being part of our journey.”
