Furnishings group grows sales by £12m

Furnishings group Giomani Designs has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £50m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2024, total sales rose 29.4% to £52.3m from £40.4m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £377,000, down from its profit of £7,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, Giomani Designs, which also trades as online beds retailer Beds.co.uk, online homewares retailer Cox + Cox and garden furniture retailer Moda Furnishings, said: “Turnover rose significantly, driven by increased demand, an expanded product range, and new customer acquisitions.

“The Company responded well to the challenges of scaling operations, while maintaining consistent service levels and controlling costs. Gross profit margins improved from 31.6% to 36.7%, driven by tighter cost control, refined pricing, and an improved product mix.

“However, the revenue-focused strategy led to higher operating costs, resulting a loss. Despite external pressures such as global shipping disruptions, higher freight costs, and delivery delays, the Company maintained stable operations and consistent results-demonstrating its resilience and adaptability.”
