Scottish independent to close after 40 years

Independent furniture retailer The Store Interiors has announced plans to close due to retirement.

Situated at 26 Munro Place in Anniesland, Glasgow, the business confirmed that owners Arun and Ashoke Pasi will retire following a closing down sale, bringing an end to 40 years of trading.

In a statement, the company said: “All good things must come to an end. After 40 wonderful years, Arun and Ashoke Pasi are retiring, and The Store Interiors will soon close its doors.

“From our very first day in 1987 to our Anniesland showroom today, none of this would have been possible without our loyal customers, colleagues, and suppliers. We are deeply grateful for your support over the decades.

“A very special Retirement Sale is starting, and £468,000 worth of stock must go. Available in-store only.”

The closing down sale began on 30 August 2025 with the business looking to sell all stock ahead of its final closure later this year.
