Components manufacturer BHK (UK) has reported a decline in sales but a growth in profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales fell 8.2% to £13.4m from £14.6m in 2023.
UK sales were down to £13.1m from £14.1m, while EU revenues fell to £242,000 from £482,000.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.5m, up from £1.3m against the previous year, marking a second straight year of bottom-line growth.
Stated within its report, the company said: “Sales in the year were slightly lower than 2024 despite winning new business due to market conditions. The Directors’ focus on margins and efficiency has resulted in higher profits.
“At the year end the company continued to have a strong balance sheet. The company has continued to grow and maintain its significant asset base and believe this puts the company in a strong position to grow revenues and profits.”
BHK (UK) manufactures chipboard, MDF and plywood drawers, bases and profiles for general furniture use.
