The UK division of Dutch lighting group TRILUX has reported an increase in turnover as losses narrowed.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales rose 3.9% to £17.7m from £16.8m in 2022.
Pre-tax losses resulted at £643,000, narrowing from a loss of £1.7m recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the group said: “Following the successful reorganisation phase in 2023, which included the implementation of policies and the stabilisation of the capital structure, the Company delivered a performance that, while not yet on budget, exceeded 2023 levels despite operating with 5 fewer full-time equivalents (FTEs) compared to the prior year.
“A profit-driven approach and close cost management enabled the Company to increase its gross profit margin above both the previous year and budgeted levels. In absolute terms, gross profit came close to budget despite a lower top line.
“The Company remains in a period of transition, having onboarded 7 new employees and offboarded six during 2024. The development of the HR function into a People and Culture department has continued to strengthen our main pillar on our foundation for future growth.”
