Raising the Bar in Home and Garden Furnishings

GIE Wholesale Furniture is a family-run business based in Northern Ireland, located on the boarder and just one hour from Dublin and one hour from Belfast, specialising in high-quality home and garden furniture.

For many years, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering value, style, and reliability to retailers across Ireland, while also supporting online businesses throughout the UK with a wide range of smaller items such as rugs, chairs, mattresses, and home accessories.

At the heart of GIE’s success is a simple commitment: to supply products that retailers can trust and customers will love.

Like many in the industry, 2025 has been a challenging year. Uncertainty in global markets has created new pressures, but GIE sees challenges as opportunities. By focusing on meeting the evolving needs of retailers, the company has strengthened its support with a high-spec product range, continuous quality improvements, marketing support, and easier collaboration.

“This proactive approach ensures that partners can continue to thrive even in uncertain times,” the company said.

“The Irish Furniture and Homeware Show (IFHS) was quieter than expected this year, with many retailers unable to attend. However, those who did visit our stand were impressed. Having the opportunity to see our customers and receive the positive feedback on our new collections made the event worthwhile,” the team reflected, highlighting that product innovation continues to be at the core of the business.

Recent launches have certainly caught attention. GIE has introduced brand-new bedroom collections, the Serenity Sleep mattress Collection and a premium line of Grade A leather sofas, including modern swivel electric chairs and stylish fabric sofa beds.

These additions reflect the company’s ambition to offer retailers an extensive and versatile range, catering to both traditional tastes and contemporary living.

Investment has also been a key theme for GIE over the past 12 months. The business has undertaken a major upgrade of its facilities, installing a full new racking system and mezzanine floor in its warehouses, acquiring new forklifts, and completing a new concrete yard.

In addition, GIE has fully renovated its showroom, creating an enhanced environment where customers can view products at their best. “These improvements not only increase operational efficiency but also underline our long-term commitment to growth,” the company added.

Looking ahead, the future is even more exciting. “We’ve recently secured planning permission for a major redevelopment of our premises, which will see the creation of new offices, a new showroom, and a new warehouse,” the company revealed.

“This ambitious project will further elevate our service levels and provide an even better experience for our customers.”

Alongside this, GIE plans to expand its garden furniture range and continue building its household collections.

As a proud family-run business, relationships remain central to everything GIE does. “When we raise the bar for ourselves, we know that our customers receive better service,” the company explains.

“With innovation, investment, and customer focus at the forefront, we’re well-positioned to keep delivering exceptional products and support to our retail partners across Ireland and the UK.”
