OKA posts sales of over £30m as higher ticket items perform well

Furniture and accessories retailer OKA has reported sales of over £30m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 28 June 2025, total sales reached £36.8m, down compared to £55.6m – however, this was over an extended 78-week period ended June 2024.

Adjusted EBITDA was £1.7m, compared to £6.7m, while pre-tax losses resulted at £7.8m, significantly narrowing from a loss of £46.9m.

Stated within its report, OKA said: “The company extended its prior period from 30 December 2023 to 29 June 2024, therefore the comparative is an 18 month period.

“In the period we have focused on improving our product ranges, improving our online service levels, managing costs and profitability, whilst also laying the foundations for future growth business.

“Revenue remained strong for the period and was driven primarily by a growth in average order values, with a shift in product mix towards higher ticket furniture and garden pieces, partly reflecting the continued growth of the Tailored range.

“OKA’s customers continue to navigate between channels more than ever before, and the resilience in top line performance is reflective of the omni-channel business model, which includes mature trade, interior design and mail order sales channels.

“Gross margin performance remains a key focus, with freight and foreign exchange rates continuing to fluctuate. The Gross margin for the year was 65%.”
