Technical nonwovens supplier AMR Textiles has reported a slight decline in turnover and profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025, total sales fell 5% to £26.3m from £27.7m in 2024.
UK sales dipped to £25.4m from £26.6m, while exports to the EU decreased to £981,000 from £1.1m.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.3m, down from £2.2m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company, which supplies polyester and natural products to the high-end furniture and bedding industries as well as various other sectors, said: “Margins remained volatile due to the usual variations in raw material prices, exchange rates and increased energy costs and showed a decline this year to 15.8% from 17.9%.”
