Belfast-based independent retailer Riteprice Belfast has ceased trading and entered liquidation.

Alison Burnside, of McAleer Jackson Ltd, was appointed as liquidator of Rite Price Carpets, Flooring & Interiors Limited on 29 January 2026. Creditors are expected to suffer a shortfall of £781,000.

The company, which was established in 1964, operated from its 75,000sqft showroom and warehouse on York Street.

In a short statement confirming the closure, the company said: “The directors at Rite Price Flooring & Interiors Limited wish to thank their staff and customers for their support over many years.

“Unfortunately, due to difficult trading conditions the company has had to close.
