Furniture specialist Oak & More has been busy expanding its physical retail presence. We caught up with Paul Isom, CEO, to find out more.
Last year marked a significant milestone for Oak & More. The business rebranded from Oak Furniture Superstore and launched a series of openings, beginning with its Peterborough store in June 2025, followed by Thurrock in November.
Momentum continued with the simultaneous launch of its third and fourth locations, a 16,000-square-foot showroom in Swindon and a new showroom in Rotherham which were unveiled on Boxing Day (26th December 2025). The store portfolio now stands at four with appetite for further store roll out in the future.

“Opening our showrooms gives us a great opportunity to showcase what Oak & More does best – exceptional solid wood furniture, marble and more,” Paul said. “We’re passionate about craftsmanship, durability and timeless design, and we’re excited for customers in all our locations to experience the quality that sets our pieces apart. Also, having lived in Swindon for over 20 years, our recent opening here is especially meaningful to me.”
Paul added that the response has been “incredibly positive”, continuing: “The four stores we have opened since June last year have exceeded our expectations with strong appetite for our design led furniture.
“Having a physical retail presence allows customers to touch and feel the quality for themselves, and to see first-hand that our furniture is thoughtfully designed and built to last.”

The positive response has translated into continued growth for the business over the last 12-months, making “strong progress” with sales for the year ended 31 January 2025 surpassing £30m. “We have continued to grow over the past year and are delighted with the strong progress the business is making,” Paul said.
“In a period of wider market and economic uncertainty, we have bucked the trend, delivering like-for-like growth in our online channel while further strengthening our market position through the successful rollout of new showrooms.”
A key part of its growth is meeting consumer demands, with Paul revealing that customers are prioritising design, longevity and value more than ever before. “There is a clear shift towards investing in high-quality, well-crafted pieces rather than disposable or fast furniture.
“Shoppers are becoming more considered in their choices, seeking furniture that stands the test of time both aesthetically and functionally.

“We’re also seeing growing interest in a broader range of materials, such as solid wood, marble and glass, as well as an expanded palette of colour options, reflecting a desire for individuality, versatility and enduring style within the home.”
Alongside Oak & More’s new store openings, the company is also making targeted investments across the business to support sustainable growth. “This includes enhancing our digital platforms to deliver a more seamless and intuitive browsing and purchasing experience for our customers, as well as increasing inventory levels to enable a market-leading 48-hour service across the majority of our product range,” Paul said.
“We are also investing in our people, with several key hires secured and planned to further strengthen our team and ensure we are well positioned to deliver on our growth ambitions.
“Looking ahead, we are developing new and modern designs to expand our existing cabinetry offering, while also planning to broaden our upholstered proposition in the months ahead.”
Adding to its growth plans, Oak & More is also searching for the right locations to continue its physical push. “We continually assess opportunities for considered expansion and we are currently exploring a number of promising new locations,” Paul revealed.

“Our focus remains on sustainable, long-term growth, ensuring that each new showroom aligns with our brand and customer experience.
“The locations we are targeting will enhance our national coverage and provide more customers with the opportunity to experience our products in person. Watch this space over the coming months as our plans begin to take shape.”
As a final thought, reflecting on its progress so far, Paul thanked its loyal customers. “We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our customers and the communities we serve.
“These new store openings represent more than growth, they reflect our ongoing commitment to crafting beautifully made furniture and delivering an exceptional, welcoming shopping experience. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to welcoming even more customers into the Oak & More family.”
