Independent bed and furniture retailer The Bed and Chair Centre has reduced the asking price for the business.
Situated on Front Street in Prudhoe, the company listed the business for sale for £80,000 on a long-term lease back in October 2025 as the owner, William Thompson, cited plans to retire.
The business has now reduced the price to £40,000, with its stock expected to fetch an additional £25,000-£35,000.
Furthermore, Mr Thompson said that the business will continue to trade once a buyer is found, and has offered to remain in the company to oversee a transition process.
