A new premium lifestyle and interiors platform has launched, specifically aimed at UK handmade products.
Exquisitely British, known as EB London, is a unique lifestyle platform that blends modern design with the rich heritage of traditional British craftsmanship.
Following a period of intensive development and a successful Barclays Funding Ready programme, the platform currently features over 3,000 items with a further 10,000 products in the pipeline.
EB London is now SEIS Approved, marking a significant milestone in its transition from a high-growth start-up to a scalable trade platform. The venture has been self-funded to date by Director Anuuj Kohli and is now supported by a dedicated advisory board from Be the Business, comprising four corporate and SME experts who provide strategic oversight for the brand’s international expansion.
Currently, the collective features over 30 premier UK-based brands across furniture, upholstery, lighting and decor. ‘We are continuously vetting heritage manufacturers,” Anuuj explained. “Our focus is on curated quality and ensuring every partner meets our strictly Handmade in the UK standard.
“We demystify materials, methods, and heritage so clients can make confident, informed choices. We ship worldwide and manage the details, from custom requests to aftercare. Our ethos is rooted in encouraging considered purchases that stand the test of time.
“We prioritise responsible choices, from sensible sourcing to eco-friendly packaging, without excluding partners who are on their own sustainability journey.”
As mentioned, the next stage of its journey is to grow, with the business positioned strongly to capitalise on the new UK-India Trade Agreement. “With the shift toward duty-free thresholds, we’re helping a client in New Delhi order a British-made bed with a single click, using VAT savings to stay competitive,” Anuuj added.
“I have joined the UKICC and will be joining an official trade mission to India to facilitate this corridor. We focus on discerning audiences in the UK and Europe, USA, India, Dubai and Japan. We maintain continuous market research and integrate client feedback to refine our offer, ensuring relevance and sustainable growth.”
Anuuj concluded that EB London’s mission is to support and celebrate the workshops where expertise has been refined over generations. “We present exceptional, heritage-led pieces for those who value authenticity, provenance and the enduring quality of things still made with time, skill and integrity.
“Every piece curated by EB London is made and finished in the UK— supporting the master artisans and specialist manufacturers who keep Britain’s craft tradition at its finest.
“If you represent a master craft or heritage manufacturer committed to exceptional UK production, we would welcome a conversation about joining the EB London collective.”
