Independent interiors business Casa Interiors has reached its 10-year anniversary milestone at its store in Newnham.

Situated on High Street, the business first opened its shop on 6 April 2016 and recently celebrated a decade at the address – although it kept celebrations to minimum.

“Although the actual Interior Design & Home Staging business existed since 2014, this was the start of Casa on the high street – from getting the keys in late November 2015, to opening the doors on 6 April 2016,” the business said.

“It was 10 years ago that I officially opened the door to the public! Originally, I had planned a bit of a “do”, something similar to that of my launch event back in 2016. But truth to tell, I just couldn’t find the energy – and quite frankly I couldn’t justify the cost. Times are hard. Footfall is down. Online shopping is a convenience. 

“But, I am celebrating the fact that I am still here, continuing to trade – through the highs and the lows, the quiet times and the busy periods, and hopefully still bringing joy to customers, and brightening up Newnham High Street.”
