More than 2,000 lots from Moores Furniture Group are set to be launched for sale via online auction, after the business ceased to trade in February this year.
Established in the 1940s, Moores Furniture Group grew to become one of the UK’s largest kitchen manufacturers, supplying the public sector and housing associations nationally.
Operating from a 35-acre site at Thorp Arch Estate, near Wetherby, West Yorkshire, the manufacturer’s facility extends to approximately 550,000 sq ft.
Asset advisory specialist Walker Singleton has been appointed to dispose of all company assets via a phased approach across six online auction sales.
The firm is currently preparing the lots for auction, which comprises a mix of manufacturing, storage and handling, site infrastructure and stock items.
Abigail Whiteoak, asset specialist at Walker Singleton commented: “We are delighted to offer our strategic auction disposal services and work alongside a consortium of forward thinking professionals.
“The phased auction sales for Moores Furniture Group’s assets will transition through the 35-acre site, allowing redevelopment and refurbishment for the next chapter of the estate.
“The scale of the property and site will result in an opportunity to acquire assets for all applications to suit all industries.”
Founded in 1889, Yorkshire-based Walker Singleton is a multi-disciplinary firm which provides partner-led asset and property solutions.
