French homeware and fashion brand La Redoute has reported a decline in sales while profit remained strong.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, total sales fell 4.5% to £59.3m from £62.6m in 2024.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £626,000, slightly down from £642,000 recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “As an online-only operator in the UK, La Redoute UK has seen retail sales decrease 4.5% in 2025 (2024: 4.7% decrease) as a result of the ongoing effects of the increase in the cost of living on our customers’ spending patterns.
“This total year on year decline in sales levels still represents a growth of 21% compared to pre-pandemic sales in 2019 due to the impact the pandemic had on online shopping, combined with the increase in Homes products on offer.
“For 2026, the business expects to see growth in sales levels as it focuses on brand awareness, acquisition of customers and on-site user experience.”
