Sales down at office furniture manufacturer

Newport based office furniture manufacturer Bisley has reported a reduction in sales as losses widened.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 July 2025, total sales fell 6.3% to £57.8m from £61.7m in 2024.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £1.6m, widening from a loss of £132,000 recorded the previous year.

UK sales fell to £24.2m from £30.9m, while EU revenues decreased to £20.4m from £21.5m. Rest of the world sales rose to £13.1m from £9.2m.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Reduced UK sales in the first six months of the year were partially offset by strong sales growth in North America and Ireland. Gross profit margin increased from 28.1% to 30.8%.”
