Andrew Martin unveils revamped London store

Global design house Andrew Martin has announced the unveiling of its revamped showroom in London.

The brand has reimagined its flagship showroom on Walton Street, Chelsea – a storied neighbourhood and long a symbol of London’s design identity. Many have wondered whether Brompton Cross, battered by the digital retail revolution, can make a comeback. Andrew Martin is betting big on ‘yes’.

Since 1987, the Walton Street showroom has been more than a store – it’s been a stage set for global discovery, layering antiques, tribal artworks, vintage luxury and the curiosities the brand is known for. Now, the doors reopen with a clear message: the physical design experience matters more than ever.

Upon entering the showroom, visitors encounter a full-size Airfix-style Land Rover Defender, mounted across a wall, a mechanical elephant, as well as Andrew Martin’s signature collision of Oriental antiques, Andean textiles, African tribal art and vintage Louis Vuitton trunks. This is not a showroom, it’s a provocation.

Founder Martin Waller comments: “This generation’s retailers are tussling with the balancing act between online and bricks and mortar. Andrew Martin has long championed the attractions of the physical store. Our flagship store on Walton Street once again embodies my belief in the sense of romance and theatre that is the prerequisite for enticing interior fans through the doors.”
