Montu Soni, director at Jaipur Furniture, explains how you can buy direct from India through its flexible container programme.
Jaipur Furniture is a leading exporter of solid wood home furnishings from India. Combining its UK warehouse in Huntingdon with its own factories in Jaipur and Jodhpur, the business has been a leading presence in the area for the past three decades.
“While it is not practical to stock every factory range within the UK, we are committed to expanding our product offering through our Shared and Full Container Programme, says Soni. “This enables customers to access a much broader selection of products in a cost-effective and efficient manner.”
Through Jaipur Furniture’s container programme, the business can supply products from its extensive collections as well as develop bespoke items tailored to suit specific requirements. “We can also manufacture products that you currently source from other suppliers, providing a flexible and streamlined sourcing solution,” adds Soni.
“All products are produced within our family-owned factories in Jaipur and Jodhpur, India. For over three decades, our company has been a leading force in the industry, building a reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and reliability.
“A particular source of pride is our recognition as the recipient of India’s Top Export Award in the Solid Wood category for 10 consecutive years and counting!”

The MOQ is:
- 6 pieces for larger items
- 10 pieces for smaller items
“You can mix any products from our container catalogues or your own designs,” continues Soni. “We have two options to offer flexibility through either a shared container or full container.
Shared container: The minimum order is 24cbm (approximately one-third of a container), where your order is shipped on one of our containers.
Full container: The minimum order is 68cbm.
“Due to considerable fluctuations in container shipping prices at the moment, it’s helpful to use a guideline when estimating your delivered costs. By adding around 25% to the quoted prices, you’ll have a realistic expectation of what it would cost to deliver either to our warehouse or directly to your warehouse, provided you’re placing a full container order,” said Soni. “Please note provided prices are FOB India.

“For shared container deliveries, there’s an additional charge of £30 per cubic metre for transport from our warehouse to yours. Alternatively, you’re welcome to arrange your own collection from our Huntingdon facility if that suits you better.”
The container programmes are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 25 % when placing the order, with the balance to be paid one week prior to delivery the customer warehouse. Lead time is around 10 weeks production time after deposit, plus shipping time, with quotations valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
“Our intention is that each individual item will have its own story to tell as it takes pride of place in a fully realised room setting. We encourage you to get in touch with us at sales@jaipurfurniture.net as we pride ourselves on the quality of our products.”
