Flooring wholesaler grows sales and profit

Flooring wholesaler Kellars has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 July 2024, total sales rose 7.5% to £44.2m from £41.1m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.1m, up 333% from £272,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The growth in sales has been achieved this year through investment into more presence in the market place. This investment has been into both sales team members long with stands, sampling and new product ranges.

“Gross profit margin from sales this year has also grown from 27.9% to 34.4%. It cannot be underestimated how much of a great achievement it is for Kellars to achieve this growth in such challenging market conditions due to the cost of living crisis and therefore reduced consumer spending.

“It really sets us up to reap further benefits of this success for the years to come and shows we are taking market share with our growth.”
