Garden furniture searches popular for second straight month

UK searches of furniture during February 2026 performed strongly with Furniture Village a high registered search, while garden furniture continued its volume search growth.

According to Google search data analysed by Big Furniture Group, eight days during February 2026 saw ‘furniture’ searches record an index score of 90 or more, while a score over 80 came in at 19 days. The highest searched date was 15 February with a full score 100.

Google index’s its search data to 100. This means where 100 is the maximum search interest for the term selected, it is the highest value and indicates a high internet search.

The results saw related searches of specific terms that included ‘Furniture Village’, up 3,400%, ‘furniture village croydon’ – up 2,950%, ‘furniture village high wycombe’ – up 250%, and ‘how to polish wood furniture’ – up 650%. Other popular terms included ‘patio furniture’ – up 150%, ‘garden furniture sets’ – up 100%, and ‘outdoor garden furniture’ – up 80%, while ‘home office furniture’ was also up 80%.

Other search terms Big Furniture Group reviewed included mattresses, bedroom furniture, dining furniture, living room furniture, sofas, carpets and flooring.

Mattresses

Mattress searches recorded four peak dates with an index score value of 90 or more. The highest searched date was 22 February with a full score of 100. Popular related searches included ‘Premier Inn mattress’ – up 3,300%, ‘emma mattress promo code’ – up 3,350%, ‘what is a coil mattress’ – up 700%, ‘best mattress toppers’ – up 600%, and ‘how to choose a mattress’ – up 600%.

Bedroom furniture

Bedroom furniture searches recorded four days of peak activity with an index value over 90. The most searched date was 15 February, which scored a full 100. Popular related searches included ‘furniture village’, ‘oakland furniture’ and ‘roseland furniture’, all of which were high breakout searches. Other notable searches included ‘solid wood bedroom furniture’ – up 250%, ‘grey bedroom furniture sets’ – up 250%, ‘modern bedroom furniture’ – up 200%, and ‘wicker bedroom furniture’ – up 100%.

Dining furniture

Dining furniture searches recorded four days of peak activity with an index value over 90. The most searched date was 21 February, which scored a full 100. Popular related searches included ‘Furniture Village’ – up 1,750%, ‘outdoor dining furniture’ – up 130%, ‘outdoor furniture’ – up 110%, ‘dining table set’ – up 90%, and ‘furniture village dining table and chairs’ – up 90%.

Living room furniture

Living room furniture saw two peak days during the month. The most searched day was 15 February that scored the full 100 score. Popular related searches included ‘living room furniture packages’ as a high breakout search, while ‘dark wood living room furniture’ was up 350% and ‘living room furniture set’ was up 110%. Other notable searches included ‘coffee table’ – up 100%, and ‘living room furniture near me’ – up 300%.

Sofas

Sofa searches saw six peak dates, with the highest score of 100 recorded on 22 February. Popular related searches included ‘poltrone sofa uk’ – up 1,150%, ‘sofa set for living room’- up 400%, ‘sofa bed’ – up 300%, ‘sofa throw’ – up 300%, ‘outdoor sofa set’ – up 250%, and ‘loveseat sofa’ – up 90%. Other notable searches included ‘pillowcase’ – up 1,300%, ‘throw blanket’ – up 1,100%, and ‘blanket’ – up 750%.

Flooring & Carpets

Flooring searches saw 11 days scoring over 90, with the highest date being 11 February, scoring the full 100. Carpet searches saw nine days scoring over 90, with the highest date on 21 February scoring the full 100. Popular related searches included ‘laminate’ – up 60%, ‘carpet warehouse’ – up 80%, ‘black and white vinyl flooring’ – up 50%, and ‘garden flooring’ – up 50%. Other notable searches included ‘how to remove coffee stain from carpet’ – up 700%, ‘carpet for living room’ – up 400%, ‘rugs’ – up 250%, ‘bedroom carpet’ – up 130%, and ‘blue carpet’ – up 100%.
