German furniture components manufacturer Gela-Form has filed for insolvency.

The business, which is based in Herford, has submitted the application to the Bielefeld District Court and has seen Attorney Dr. André Wehner, of Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH, appointed as provisional insolvency administrator.

Founded in 1995, Gela-Form produces foil-coated fronts and molded parts for kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways.

The company supplies the furniture industry, in the form of series production and customised special solutions, as well as custom furniture construction.

The application was submitted by managing directors Ralf Schwertner and Achim Eikmeyer 25 June 2025, and follows its acquisition of the insolvent LignoSmart Holztechnik GmbH from Lübbecke, which took place back in November last year.
