Irish independent confirms closure after almost 50 years

Independent furniture retailer Madden Furniture has announced it will close for the final time this month, bring an end to almost 50 years of trading.

Situated on Station Rd in Ennis, Madden Furniture has been in operation since 1977. In a parting statement from the company, it thanked its loyal customers from over the years.

“After 49 incredible years suppling furniture to our community, the time has come for us to say goodbye,” the business said. “We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support throughout the years. It has truly been a privilege to be a part of your homes and lives.

“As we prepare to close this chapter, we invite you to join us for our Farewell Closing Down Sale starting Tuesday the 8th of July at 11.00am to 7.00pm—All Stock Must Go! This is a wonderful opportunity to find fantastic deals on our remaining stock, so don’t miss out.

“To accommodate collections, our store will be open until 7PM Tuesday the 8th of July to Friday 11th of July. We would love for you to stop by, reminisce, and share in this bittersweet moment as we wrap up our journey together. Please be patient with our outstanding team as it will be busy.
