Mattress brand grows sales by over 20%

Mattress brand Nectar Sleep has reported an increase in turnover.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales rose 24% to £16.9m from £13.6m in 2023.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £857,000, widening from a loss of £276,000 year-on-year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Focus for the year was to improve contribution margin. The gross margin percentage increased to 49.7% (2023: 49.3%) during the year, reflecting the decrease of material costs and returns.

“2024 was a period of transition for the UK economy. While the high inflationary environment began to recede, and some stability returned, businesses and consumers continued to exercise caution.

“The company expects further revenue growth in the current year, as the product offering continues to be expanded.”
