The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, has announced its Midlands Region Tug of War Tournament & Family Fun Day will take place in June.
This action-packed day taking place on Saturday 28 June at Long Eaton Rugby Club, Derbyshire promises fun, friendly competition, and fundraising for a fantastic cause.
Open to everyone in the trade, the tournament will feature male, female, and mixed team categories, with team entry priced at £100 for a team of eight (including VAT). Whether you’re competing for glory or cheering from the sidelines, it’s the perfect chance to show off your team spirit and connect with others across the industry.
Alongside the tournament, families can enjoy a variety of games, entertainment, food and drinks, making this a memorable day out for all ages. Children’s activities and a raffle with exciting prizes will keep everyone smiling – all while raising vital funds for the industry charity.

The Furniture Makers’ Company operates nine regional committees across the UK, including East of England, Midlands, North East, North West, Yorkshire, South West, South East, Southern, and the newly established Wales Region. Each committee is committed to hosting a range of fundraising and networking events throughout the year, welcoming both members and non-members to support the charity’s initiatives.
