The outdoor furniture market is expected to decline slightly this year but make a recovery during 2027.
According to the latest European Outdoor Furniture 2026 report, compiled by CSIL, it outlines the largest markets, current dynamics and industry insight.
Detailed within the report, the outdoor furniture market in Europe reached a value of over EUR 3 billion in 2025, according to CSIL. However, demand has softened following strong expansion in 2021–2022.
That said, demand is increasingly shaped by outdoor living trends, with consumers investing more in functional and design-oriented exterior spaces.

The report highlights the largest markets in the EU, which are Germany, the UK, Italy and France. It reflects differences in climate, distribution structure and consumer preferences.
Furthermore, the report looks into exports within the category, different channels including retail and contract, as well as an insight into product mix with outdoor dining sets (tables and chairs) remaining the largest segment.
Looking ahead, “the European outdoor furniture market is expected to decline slightly in 2026, with a moderate recovery forecast for 2027,” says CSIL. “The European outdoor furniture market is a dynamic and strategic segment within the broader furniture industry.
“Shaped by post-pandemic normalization, shifting consumer lifestyles and globalised supply chains, it presents challenges and opportunities for involved players.”
