Manufacturer of made to measure doors for kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom furniture, Browns, has reported a slight decline in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales fell 1.9% to £10.1m from £10.3m in 2023.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £598,000, compared to its loss of £272,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, Browns said: “Gross margin has increased marginally to 47% (2023 – 45%). The company has continued to trade successfully despite the challenges of a tough economic backdrop and the impact this has had on the market.
“As we look to the future, we remain optimistic. We have invested significantly in our asset base which we believe will improve efficiencies going forward. We are confident that the investment will result in increased turnover and margin in future years.”
