Sales decline and losses widen at furniture supplier

Scottish kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms furniture supplier Ashley Ann has reported a decline in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025, total sales fell 5.9% to £18.9m from £20.1m in 2024.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £591,000, widening from a loss of £150,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “The year continued to present challenges, with sustained upward pressure on the company’s cost base alongside a contraction in consumer expenditure on home improvements.

“Whilst the company’s financial results for the year are below expectations, management has completed a comprehensive review aimed at reducing core operating costs and positioning the business to trade profitably at lower revenue levels.

“Encouragingly, positive indicators are beginning to emerge across the market. Sales performance is improving, and the outlook for 2026 is promising, underpinned by newly secured housing contracts and the onboarding of new trade customers.”
