Sales down at kitchens and flooring supplier

Kitchens and flooring supplier Finsahome has reported a slight decline in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales fell 8% to £2.3m from £2.5m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £162,000, slightly down from £181,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Turnover experienced an 8% decline in 2024 due to overall market conditions. The company, which serves the home renovation market, faced challenges from weak consumer demand for high-value items.

“Although interest rates began to fall, the decrease was slower than expected and has not yet significantly stimulated family investments in housing. Similarly, the housing market remained quiet, with a reduction in the number of new projects started in the year.

“The company benefits from a highly diversified customer base, with minimal reliance on any single large customer. It has not been significantly impacted by bad debts; the turnover decrease was primarily due to a broad spending decline across the customer base. “Looking ahead to 2025, it is anticipated that the continued downward trend in interest rates will eventually rejuvenate the housing market. The company remains committed to a proactive sales strategy aimed at expanding its customer base.”
