Scottish furniture retailer to downsize store estate

Scottish furniture retailer Blackbridge Furnishings has confirmed plans to close one of its stores.

Situated on South Street in Elgin, the business has launched a closing down sale with 70% off products.

It is understood that the store will close once the sale concludes with the retailer to solely focus on its Inverness store moving forward.

Commenting on the plans, a statement said: “Our Elgin store has been very successful for us since it opened in 2017. And the customers here have been very good. But we’ll now be focusing on the flagship store in Inverness, where our roots are.”
