Matt Donnelly, Support & SEO Specialist at RetailSystem & WebSystem, talks about how he sees the future of furniture retail technology – and why he believes the combination of RetailSystem and WebSystem is creating powerful new opportunities for growth.
In a business renowned for decades of furniture retail experience, RetailSystem and WebSystem are also powered by a new generation of digital innovators. Enter Matt Donnelly, the company’s Support and SEO Specialist – a rising voice at the intersection of retail technology and digital marketing.
While the senior team’s heritage is rooted in hands-on furniture retail experience, Matt represents the next wave – a younger specialist who sees how technology, automation, and smart search strategies are redefining the way furniture retailers reach and serve customers.
Matt, you’re part of the next generation at RetailSystem and WebSystem. What’s it like working within a team that has such deep furniture retail roots?
It’s inspiring, honestly. You’ve got all this knowledge in the room – people who’ve literally run furniture & bed stores, managed warehouses, and delivered furniture in the rain! But what’s really exciting is how open they are to new ideas. My role is about bridging that experience with digital opportunity – helping retailers translate those traditional strengths into online visibility and smarter customer journeys. It’s the best of both worlds: wisdom meets innovation.
You work across both RetailSystem and WebSystem. How do those two technologies complement each other?
They’re a perfect match. RetailSystem gives furniture & bed stores complete control of their in-store operations – stock, sales, delivery management, customer service – while WebSystem extends that same professionalism and data-driven accuracy to their online presence. When the two systems talk to each other, you get something really powerful: live product data, real-time stock visibility, and a website that actually reflects what’s happening on the shop floor.
That seamless connection not only improves customer experience but also opens doors for dynamic SEO – where your website constantly updates and adapts to what’s selling, what’s trending, and what’s available now.
That phrase – “Dynamic SEO” – sounds exciting. What does it mean in practice?
Traditional SEO is often static – you set it up, and it goes stale over time. Dynamic SEO, powered by live RetailSystem data, means your website evolves automatically. Prices, stock, categories, and product descriptions all update in real-time, and search engines love that freshness. It’s the difference between a website that just exists and one that performs.
It’s a huge opportunity for furniture retailers, because search visibility isn’t just about keywords anymore – it’s about relevance, speed, and accuracy. WebSystem, integrated with RetailSystem, delivers all three.
What excites you most about the road ahead?
The pace of change. Furniture retail is embracing technology faster than ever, and we’re right in the middle of that transformation. I love showing retailers how these systems can make their lives easier and their businesses stronger. We’re not just supporting them – we’re helping them grow online and offline together.
For Matt, the message is clear: the future of furniture retail isn’t just digital – it’s dynamic.
RetailSystem and WebSystem – smarter together, built for the next generation of retail success.
