UK sales down at office furniture maker; EU grows

The UK division of US office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller has reported a decline in sales while its EU segment increased.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 May 2025, total sales rose 4% to £115.2m from £110.9m in 2024.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £13.1m, up from £377,000 recorded in the previous year.

UK and Ireland sales were down to £39.3m from £45.8m, while EU sales rose to £65.5m from £52.3m. Sales across the rest of the world decreased from £12.8m to £10.4m.

Stated within its report, the company said: “In the current period the company saw an increase in revenue with ongoing price competitiveness. Retail continues to be a key strategic focus for the MillerKnoll Group and it continues to benefit from the general trend of hybrid working patterns postpandemic.”
