Furniture retailer Arighi Bianchi has reported a slight reduction in sales despite a return to profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025, total sales fell 6% to £12.8m from £13.7m in 2024.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £245,000, up from a loss of £571,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The Directors report that demand in the 2025 fiscal year weakened, along with the wider market, however a 5% increase in operating margin and tight control of overheads meant that the business returned to profitability – which is a pleasing result for the efforts incurred.
“Whilst trading was challenging in both the FY25 and FY24 the business has risen to the challenge and through detailed strategic and financial planning the business took the brave, but conscious, decision to shift its focus, to not only mitigate the trading environment, but to also enable the revitalisation of the brand’s visibility and appeal.”
Sarah Bianchi, CEO, added: “Over the last 18 months the Directors and Senior Leadership Team have been focused on improving internal efficiencies, reducing costs and increasing margins. This will continue to be our focus in 2026 and beyond.”
