Jet Press brings metal manufacturing to Shirebrook

Fasteners and components supplier Jet Press, which provides its products to various industries including furniture, has announced a significant milestone, completing the transfer and installation of its metal manufacturing capability at its Shirebrook facility.

For more than 20 years, its metal range has been manufactured from its Aylesbury site, supplying customers across a wide range of industries with precision-engineered metal components and fasteners.

That capability is now entering its next chapter, as the company brings metal production together with its existing injection moulding, kitting and assembly operations under one roof.

“This investment represents a deliberate commitment to UK manufacturing and reflects our belief that local production capability continues to play an important role in supporting customers with quality, responsiveness, technical collaboration and supply chain resilience,” said Richard Johnson, Managing Director.

“By combining these manufacturing disciplines within a single facility, we are creating a broader and more integrated manufacturing platform, strengthening our ability to support customers throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design support through to production, assembly and supply.”

The transition has involved the relocation and installation of machinery, tooling and equipment from its Aylesbury site, alongside investment in the infrastructure and capability of the Shirebrook facility. Production is now entering its final commissioning phase ahead of full operational launch.

“Whilst we are proud of the investment being made today, we are equally proud of the heritage behind it,” Richard added. “The expertise, knowledge and manufacturing capability developed over more than two decades remain at the heart of this operation and will continue to support customers for many years to come.

“Combined with our global sourcing network and technical support expertise, this enhanced capability further strengthens our ability to support customers with new product developments, cost reduction initiatives, quality improvements and supply chain consolidation projects.”
