Fasteners and components supplier posts loss

Fasteners and components supplier Jet Press, which provides its products to various industries including furniture, has reported a decline in sales.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 April 2025, total sales fell 9.1% to £8.9m from £9.8m in 2024.

Pre-tax losses resulted at £212,000, down from its profit of £284,000 recorded the previous year.

UK sales fell to £5.2m from £5.7m, while EU sales decreased to £3.1m from £3.4m. Revenues outside the EU fell to £539,000 to £665,000.

Stated within its report, the company said: “During the year the company faced challenging market conditions in both the UK and export markets, with customer demand impacted by wider economic factors including interest rates, inflationary pressures, and changes to global trade tariffs.

“Despite these headwinds, sales performance remained broadly in line with expectations.”
