FBI invests in major UK distribution centre

Furniture Brands International (FBI) has completed a major investment in its operations with the launch of a new 80,000 sq ft distribution centre designed to support retailers and designers across the UK and Ireland.

The new facility provides capacity for 10,500 pallet spaces, supporting one of the industry’s largest in-stock luxury furniture programmes, with over £4.3 million of inventory available for immediate delivery.

As the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Keiichi, Uttermost, Caracole, Theodore Alexander, Hooker and Jonathan Charles, the company says the investment will improve stock availability, support future growth and strengthen service levels for its retail partners.

The warehouse also incorporates solar panels and electric vehicle charging points, reflecting FBI’s commitment to efficient and sustainable operations.

David Ewart, MD of Furniture Brands International, said: “This investment is all about supporting our customers. By increasing our stockholding and distribution capacity, we can offer greater availability, faster delivery and an even stronger service proposition to retailers and designers throughout the UK and Ireland.”

The facility forms part of FBI’s ongoing expansion strategy as demand continues to grow for premium furniture, lighting, accessories and home décor across its brand portfolio.
