Homeware high street sales up double-digit again

Homeware sales on the high street deliver consecutive double-digit growth.

According to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker, total like-for-like (LFL) sales rose 2.59% for the week ending 7 June 2026.

Homewares total LFLs increased by +17.30% this week, from a positive base of +1.29% for the same week last year.

Store homewares sales grew by +17.55% this week, compared to -3.11% for the same week last year. Non-store homewares sales increased by +6.55% this week, compared to -0.90% for the same week last year.

Total store LFL sales increased by +4.99% this week, compared to a positive base of +1.60% for the same week last year. Total non-store LFL sales increased by +2.62% this week, compared to a positive base of +6.42% for the same week last year.

Commenting on the results, BDO said: “Having experienced record-breaking temperatures last week, this week saw a sharp transition to frequent rain and heavy showers, wind, and cooler air across most of the UK.”

Springboard data showed overall footfall fell by -0.9% this week, led by high street footfall which fell by -3.1%, while retail parks footfall increased (+2.7%), as did shopping centre footfall (+0.2%).
