Beds and bedroom furniture retailer And So To Bed has reported a growth in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, total sales rose 1.3% to £16.1m from £15.9m in 2024.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £867,000, slightly down from £934,000 year-on-year.
Stated within its report, the company said that UK sales were up to £15.5m from £15.2m, while EU revenues were also up to £431,000 from £380,000. Rest of the world sales decreased to £258,000 from £365,000.
“And So To Bed’s turnover grew by 1.3%, arising mainly from cost price inflation from suppliers, the majority of which the Company was forced to pass on to its consumers. Volume growth was limited.
“Gross Margin increased by 1.2 percentage points to 52.3% (2024: decreased by 2.0 to 51.1%) as the Company focussed more on whole bed sales rather than accessories (which are sold at lower margin).
“During the year three showrooms and one franchise outlet were closed (2024 – two new showrooms were opened and none closed).
“The trading environment remained challenging throughout 2025 in the UK, with limited real-terms economic growth, stagnant consumer spending and slowly declining base rates.
“Housing transactions remained subdued, and moving home is often a primarily trigger for replacement of furniture.”
