Sleep retailer Mattress Online has announced the appointment of a Sleep and Performance Coach, Chester Maglo, as its newest expert.
Maglo, a respected professional in the fields of clinical sleep science and physical performance, joins the panel at Mattress Online to provide unique content and that will focus on high-quality sleep and its links to the physical and mental science of rest – helping more customers maximise their sleep for better daily health, improved energy, and athletic recovery.
With a strong academic foundation in Sport, Exercise and Health Science, Chester is now a Year 2 Respiratory and Sleep Scientist – gaining clinical experience in respiratory and sleep physiology as part of an NHS Scientist Training Programme.
As a performance coach, Maglo has dedicated years to analysing the effects that sleep deprivation and poor rest have on performance both inside and outside of the gym – and how sleep directly influences cognitive function, emotional well-being, and physical output.
Speaking on his new role, Chester Maglo said: “Sleep is one of the most important foundations when it comes to performance, yet it is often the first thing people sacrifice as part of a busy lifestyle. Whether you are an athlete training for elite-level physical output or a business owner managing the demands of daily life, the quality of your sleep heavily influences your recovery, mood, and health. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in at Mattress Online to help empower people with knowledge and tools that can lead to truly restorative rest.”
Steve Adams, CEO at Mattress Online added: “We are delighted to welcome Chester to the Mattress Online expert panel. We’ve always been at the forefront of providing genuine advice from qualified contributors to help the nation sleep better. Chester’s background as both a clinical sleep scientist and a performance coach allows us to offer our customers unparalleled, expert-backed guidance on sleep health and recovery.”
As part of his role, Maglo will be contributing regular evidence-based articles, debunking sleep myths, and sharing sleep & performance recommendations across Mattress Online’s digital platforms.
