Furniture business returns with physical store at Redbrick

North Home, the Nordic-inspired homeware and furnishings retailer, has confirmed it will open a new store at Redbrick in Batley, West Yorkshire, marking a physical presence return.

Beyond established brands like HKliving, House Doctor, Seletti, and Serax, North Home supports local artisans and artists. By working with talented individuals, North Home offers exclusive and one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the spirit of independent craftsmanship.

North Home first began as an online venture before founders Kamil Wangin and Simon Hawkins opened a temporary pop-up store in Victoria Gate in 2020. After huge success and customer demand its first bricks and mortar shop quickly followed on Vicar Lane in 2021. North Home then opened a new concept store in County Arcade in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds in 2024.

The company then announced in March this year that it had closed its physical stores as part of a planned restructuring. “After nearly six wonderful years trading in Leeds, we’ve made the difficult decision to leave our physical store while we restructure the business and explore the next chapter for North Home,” the business said.

“Retail has changed significantly in recent years and, like many independent businesses, we’ve faced increasing costs. Taking this step now gives us the opportunity to protect what we’ve built and focus on the future of the brand. North Home continues to operate online and all existing customer orders will be fulfilled as normal although delivery times may be slightly extended.”
