Furniture and homewares retailer Oak Furnitureland has been given the green light to open a store in Ipswich.
Back in April, the retailer submitted a planning application to Ipswich Borough Council with plans to open a store at unit 7 in Euro Retail Park, taking over a former Carpetright location.
Oak Furnitureland applied to install a mezzanine floor to increase the space. Plans stated that they looked at locations in the town centre and other retail parks around the town, but this site was the most suitable for the company.
The council has now approved the application, which will mark the return of Oak Furnitureland to Ipswich after it previously closed a store in the town back in 2021.
No external alterations have been proposed for the site, while the mezzanine will also not increase the height of the building.
