National bed retailer Bensons for Beds has opened a new Belfast store in Newtownabbey.

The new store is located at Unit 4a on Longwood Retail Park in Newtownabbey, Belfast, and officially opens on Friday 24 April 2026. It showcases a curated collection of beds, mattresses and accessories across Bensons for Beds own brands and Bensons exclusive collections.

With 63 beds on display showcasing a selection of leading mattress brands such as Tempur, Simba, Sealy and Hypnos, the new store offers customers one of the most extensive mattress and bedframe ranges in Northern Ireland. 

Regional Sales Manager, Louise Lowry said: “At Bensons, sleep is our obsession, and we know that a good night’s sleep is never a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We’re delighted to be opening our second store in Belfast, allowing us to bring our sleep expertise to even more customers across the city and the wider region.  

“The Newtownabbey store showcases an outstanding range of products, so whether you’re a hot sleeper, a cold sleeper, or not quite sure where to start sleeper, our knowledgeable, sleep obsessed colleagues are excited to welcome customers and help them find their perfect sleep solution.” 

Also available in store will be the latest version of Bensons Sleep Pro 2.0, an advanced sleep assessment experience designed to help customers find their ideal mattress firmness. Sleep Pro 2.0 measures key data including pressure points and vital signs such as heart rate, delivering a highly accurate and personalised firmness recommendation to suit the customers’ individual needs. 

The opening comes after the success of the current Belfast store, which after a refit last year, boasted a 20% uplift in sales in 2025 and a strong period of trading for Bensons, following its recent industry recognition as National Bed Retailer of the Year.
