Yorkshire furniture and bedding group Flair Furniture Ltd, trading as Bed Kingdom, has been recognised among the UK’s fastest-growing private companies and is now preparing its first moves into international markets.
Flair Furniture Ltd has been named 73rd in the 2026 FEBE Growth 100, the national index celebrating Britain’s fastest-growing, founder-led private companies, revealed in June 2026. The recognition was marked at the FEBE Growth 100 celebration in Maida Vale, London.
The listing caps a sustained run of recognition for the business. Flair Furniture has featured in The Sunday Times Top 100 Fast-Growing Companies and the Retail 100, and twice in the Ward Hadaway Yorkshire Fastest 50 (2024 and 2025) – underlining a consistent, multi-year growth story built on the group’s Bed Kingdom flagship and a widening portfolio of specialist brands.
Flair Furniture has grown rapidly. Turnover reached £28.1m in its most recent filed accounts (year to February 2025) and around £34m on an unaudited basis for the year to February 2026 – capping roughly 57% compound annual growth over five years. The group is now forecasting around £50m for the current financial year.
To support that growth, the group operates three company-owned warehouses in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire – having recently added around 20,000sqft of capacity – and has broadened its portfolio through the acquisition of design-led retailer Cuckooland. The business remains founder-led and has scaled without outside equity.
With a strong domestic foundation in place, Flair Furniture is now laying the groundwork for its first international markets. The group is progressing an entry into the Republic of Ireland as a natural, near-shore extension of its UK operation, alongside a move into the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region, where demand for quality bedroom furniture and bedding continues to grow.
The expansion is designed to build on the group’s existing strengths – an e-commerce-led model, three West Yorkshire warehouses and established supply relationships across Europe and Asia – while extending its brands to new audiences.
Ashley Hainsworth, Founder & Managing Director, commented: “Being recognised among the country’s fastest-growing private companies is a tremendous tribute to our team. We’ve grown by staying close to the customer and investing in the things that matter – range, service and technology. International expansion is the natural next chapter in that story.”
