Contract furniture manufacturer Knightsbridge Furniture has reported a slight decline in sales and profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025, total sales fell 1.9% to £10.1m from £10.3m in 2024.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £20,000, down from £250,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The company has navigated a challenging year, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to long-term strategic goals.
“Despite the external pressures of inflation, geopolitical uncertainties, and evolving market conditions, the company has continued to invest in improving production methods, resulting in enhanced operational efficiencies and solidifying the foundation for future growth.
“For the year ending 30 June 2025, the company’s gross margin was 39%, slightly down from 42% in 2024. This reflects a focused effort on enhancing manufacturing capabilities across all product lines, with an emphasis on process optimisation and cost control.
“The reduction in gross margin, while modest, is a result of the company’s ongoing investment in upgrading production machinery and refining production techniques, which are expected to deliver significant efficiencies over time.”
