Carpets and beds retailer United Carpets & Beds has reported a growth in sales and profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025, total sales rose 10.1% £16.1m from £14.6m in 2024. Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.1m, up from £85,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the group said: “We continue to maintain our competitiveness and profitability against a backdrop of uncertainty, no more so than the cost of oil, which at the time of writing remained over 40% higher than the summer. Our business model as a predominately Franchised business continues to be resilient, and because of this, we saw an increase in sales.
“Our primary focus is to continue the rollout of our new branding across the network, resulting in the customers’ in-store experience matching the visuals outside of the store. 35% of the network now has the new branding, and we expect this to be in the region of 75% by year’s end.”
