Blaze at Airsprung facility an “accident” says fire service

Furniture and mattress manufacturer Airsprung Group has suffered a fire at its factory yard in Trowbridge.

The incident, understood to be an accident, occurred on 28 April 2026 where a number of crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

The fire service said: “We were called to Avon Way, Trowbridge at 3.17pm (28 April) for a fire involving two lean-to buildings containing manufacturing waste and pallets in a factory yard. Crews from Trowbridge, Warminster, Devizes and Chippenham are on scene and a water carrier has been mobilised from Wilton.

“The fire is believed to have started accidentally and has been contained to two wooden buildings storing textiles, wood and paper.”

Airsprung recently filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. (See Related).
