The value of total furniture manufacturer sales has remained consistent against an annual comparison, new data suggests.
According to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the total value of UK manufacturers’ product sales was £452 billion in 2025, a 1.8% decrease of £8.3 billion from £460.3 billion in 2024.
As for the manufacture of furniture, total sales were £7.3 billion, flat against £7.3 billion in 2024. The below table indicates the total sales for the manufacture of furniture over the last 10 years.

Within the data, total sales of the manufacture of office and shop furniture reached £1.1 billion, unchanged from £1.1 billion, while sales of the manufacture of kitchen furniture rose from £2.3 billion to £2.4 billion. The manufacture of other furniture, which includes upholstery, resulted at sales of £2.9 billion, unchanged from £2.9 billion, while the manufacture of mattress sales stood at £798 million, down from £835 million.
