Independent furniture retailer Jones the Furnishers has announced it will close next month.
Situated on Kettering Road in Northampton, the business has launched a closing down sale and will close for the final time at the of August 2026.
The company has been established since 1937, with the closure bringing an end to a 89-year history.
In a short statement on the closure, the retailer said: “Farewell from Jones the Furnishers. Thank you to all our customers who have supported us over the years it has been our pleasure helping you furnish your homes.
“However, the time has come to close our store on the Kettering Road where we have traded from since the 1960s. We will be trading until the end of August to enable us to deliver all outstanding orders and to clear our stock.”
