Luxury furnishings brand refreshes showroom and appoints UK PR agency

Luxury furnishing-textile house Zimmer + Rohde has announced the appointment of PuRe Public Relations to oversee its UK PR campaign as well as the launch of a refreshed showroom.

Known for its modern classic designs, Zimmer + Rohde has been established since 1899 and its UK flagship showroom has been situated in the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour (DCCH) since 1999.

Following a redesign by London based designer Theresa Obermoser, reopening in line with WOW!house, has enabled the company to welcome international A&D clients to this iconic design destination.

“Customers can expect a fresh and distinctive approach to the traditional textile showroom,” says Cier Dickson, Head of Business Development at Zimmer + Rohde. “We’ve carefully considered the client journey, showcasing 5-metre fabric drops on a bespoke hanging system for each of our drapery products, and organising our upholstery shorties by colour to create an intuitive design experience.

“The showroom also features a number of design-led seating areas, inviting clients to relax with a coffee, browse collections, and use the space as their own creative studio. We are really very excited about the prospect of entertaining and educating our clients about our product range.”

The showroom has been designed to encourage visitors to see, touch and experience fabrics in situ. From upholstered furniture and handcrafted accessories, to the wall furnishings, every element has been thoughtfully selected to showcase the versatility and character of its collections.

Designer Theresa Obermoser drew inspiration from classic British architectural details, creating a timeless setting that complements the fabrics while providing a warm, elegant and inspiring environment.

“We’ve been absolutely delighted by the response from our friends, neighbours and the wider design community,” Cier added. “It’s been wonderful to welcome so many familiar faces into the new showroom and see such an enthusiastic reaction to the space, making this exciting new chapter even more special.

“Many visitors have been pleasantly surprised by the breadth and versatility of our collections. While we’re well known for our decorative textiles, the showroom also highlights our extensive offering of high-performance fabrics, inherently flame-retardant (FR) textiles, IMO-compliant fabrics for marine interiors, and a comprehensive range of coordinating trims – demonstrating the depth of solutions we provide for residential, hospitality, commercial and marine projects.”

The refreshed showroom follows Zimmer + Rohde’s Social Pantry restaurant sponsorship at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour during design week back in March earlier this year. The opportunity enabled the business to transform the space with its Étamine Spring/Summer collections.

Furthermore, the business collaborated with several designers at WOW!house, supplying fabrics for rooms, with Zimmer + Rohde already looking ahead to WOW!house 2027. In the short-term, the company turns its attention to September, as Cier continues: “It’s an exciting time for the UK arm of the business, with a growing portfolio of hospitality and high-end residential projects underway.

“Our focus now turns to September, when we’ll unveil a series of inspiring new collections from ADO, Ardecora, Travers and Zimmer + Rohde. Featuring new designs, contract suitable FR fabrics, and a growing collection of trims.”
