Designer and manufacturer of outdoor furniture, Akula Living, has reported a slight decline in sales.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025, total sales fell 5% to £20.4m from £21.5m in 2024.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £2.4m, down from £4.1m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said UK sales fell to £791,000 from £1.3m, while exports – its core business, fell marginally to £19.6m from £20.2m.
“Turnover fell 5% for the year, impacted by tariffs in the US in the first half of the year. Despite this, the company operated profitably, which reflects the amazing performance of the Akula team and the quality of the product offering.
“Trading continued to improve through the second half of the year and a strong start to the new financial year with growth in turnover and profitability.
“The company has worked hard to improve efficiencies and maintained excellent relationships with suppliers, duly managing margin pressures and providing the very best products to our customers throughout the world.”
