The two technologies turning furniture browsers into buyers

Convincing a shopper to commit to a piece of furniture confidently is hard. Loxa and Mazing each tackle a reason they hesitate: Mazing helps customers picture it, and Loxa protects the purchase once it arrives. Both will be at the Manchester Furniture Show, on stand D90.

Furniture is one of the most considered purchases a shopper ever makes. It is expensive, personal, and is meant to last. So, shoppers pause. They wonder how a sofa will really look in their own living room. They worry about what happens if it is damaged a year in. Every pause is a sale at risk.

Two companies are tackling those moments of hesitation from different angles, both trying to help more shoppers say yes.

Mazing turns product data into product pages that sell. Its platform builds brand-trained AI imagery, lifestyle scenes, 3D models and in-room AR from whatever a retailer has today, whether that is a single photo, a sketch or a CAD file. Customers see the piece from every angle, in a real room, in the finish they want, before they commit. The platform is already trusted across the furniture industry, from manufacturers like Modus Furniture to retailers including OTTO and Möbel Ehrmann.

“Better product pages sell more furniture, it is that simple,” says Manuel Messner, Co-Founder and CEO of Mazing. “We give retailers studio-quality imagery for every product, angle and finish at a fraction of the cost and time, so more shoppers buy with confidence, and fewer send the item back.”

The bigger worry comes after the sale: what happens if something goes wrong? Loxa lets retailers offer protection against exactly that, right at the point of purchase. It covers the things a warranty does not, accidental damage, stains and the faults that appear once it has run out, online or in store. Loxa handles everything behind the scenes: claims, compliance and support, with no work required from the retailer once the sale is made.

For the customer, that means buying with confidence, knowing the piece is looked after long after it arrives. For the retailer, it means a new stream of revenue, no capital required, and a visible way to stand behind what they sell. More than 50 UK retailers already live with Loxa, including Bed Kingdom, Furniturebox, Rowen Homes and FlexiSpot, to name a few.

“Furniture customers don’t lack the desire to protect what they buy. They lack the option where they are actually shopping,” says Jamie Hamer, Co-Founder and CEO of Loxa. “When protection sits right there at the point of purchase, it becomes part of the service, not an afterthought, and that is what brings customers back.”

Two technologies, one shared goal. When a customer can picture the piece in their home and trusts it is protected once it arrives, the reasons to hesitate fall away. Together, Loxa and Mazing give furniture shoppers the confidence to buy.
